born in toronto, canada, l koltun has an interdisciplinary practice in both time-based and object-based works, ranging over video, performance, sculpture and installation, and two-dimensional works. 

following a noted career as a cultural executive and Canadian photography scholar, she completed a BFA summa cum laude at the University of Ottawa in 2014, winning two awards.  She has completed sculptural and painting commissions and has exhibited still and moving imagery, and installation and performance works in Ottawa, Montreal, Gatineau, Kingston, Winnipeg and Toronto and area.  She sat on the Board of Directors of the Ottawa Art Gallery for nine years and continues as a longstanding Adjunct Research Professor in Art History at Carleton University.  Her work has generated media attention on the internet and in the local press where she has been featured on the cover of Ottawa Magazine and has been named an artist to watch. In 2020, she will complete an MFA at the University of Ottawa.
